*** Up date we found Hanks Owners ***
Hank is a 2-3 year old chihuahua who got hit by a car in front of the WorkForce office on Old Alice Road on Friday, November 18th. His first visit to a vet was on Saturday, Nov. 19th where he was diagnosed with head trauma. His eyes were "bulging", bleeding and looked really bad. It was thought that at least one eye would have to be removed but nevertheless eye drops were prescribed and administered as ordered.
On Monday, Maxine and I took Hank to The Country Vet, where Dr. Ramirez examined the dog. It was determined, at that time, that BESIDES the eye issue, he had a broken jaw. Surgery to repair was suggested and it was performed on Tuesday, Nov. 22n. He is now at Maxine's with various medications, including something for pain, eye gel and antibiotics for the eye; the mouth is wired "shut" and he will have to be fed with a syringe and dog food processed in a blender.
The operation was expensive, therefore, we need to secure funds to pay the bill. You can help us take care of Hank and make a difference in his life make a donation to BAD here or at Petsmart on the weekends. The issue of the eyes still has to be addressed. It is hoped that they will heal and that nothing will have to be done. He still needs to be neutered and microchipped...
